"Someone's car was stolen!" Roxy flew down the alley.
A man held a car key. He looked furious. "How will I get to work now? I paid a lot of money for that car!"
Detective Smith ran over.
"有人的车被偷了！" 罗西飞出了小巷子。
一个男人手里拿着车钥匙，看上去很恼火。"现在我怎么去上班呢？那辆车花了我很多钱的！"
史密斯侦探跑了出来。
"Who stole your car?" Roxy asked. "Did you see the thief?"
"No," the man said. "But I saw his truck!"
Detective Smith took out his notepad. "What does it look like?"
"是谁偷了你的车？" 罗西问，"你看到小偷了吗？"
"没有。" 男人说，"不过我看见了他的卡车！"
史密斯侦探拿出了笔记本。"什么样的卡车？"
"It's a garbage truck," the man said. "It says Trashman's Trash Pickup on the side."
Roxy was confused. "The thief was in a garbage truck. So how did he steal your car?"
"是一辆垃圾车。" 男人说，"上面写着 ‘清洁工垃圾回收公司’。"
罗西不明白。"小偷在垃圾车里，他是怎么偷你的车的呢？"
"The truck has a big arm with a claw," the man said. He held out his arm to show how the claw worked. "The claw grabbed my car and put it in the back of the truck!"
The man kicked a coffee cup lying on the sidewalk. "Trashman stinks at his job. He picked up my car, but he didn't pick up any of this trash!"
"Hmm," Detective Smith said. "Maybe Trashman robbed Metro City Electronics too."
Roxy nodded. "We should find out."
Detective Smith looked up the address for Trashman's Trash Pickup. "The headquarters is just north of the city."
"嗯。" 史密斯侦探说，"说不定美罗城电子商城也是清洁工盗的。"
罗西点了点头。"我们要查清楚。"
史密斯侦探找到了 "清洁工垃圾回收公司" 的地址。"公司的总部在城北。"
"I'll go check it out, Detective!" Roxy flew off.
Moments later Roxy landed in front of a huge building. She went inside and entered an enormous room. Piles of trash surrounded her. Roxy heard a sound. A man was carrying a box at the other end of the room.
